Spicy Margarita.
A classic Margarita with a fiery jalapeño twist — tequila, triple sec and fresh lime juice form the familiar sour base, elevated by the slow-building heat of fresh chilli and served with a dramatic chilli-salt rim. The perfect balance of citrus, agave sweetness and heat.
Backstory & Character
"The Spicy Margarita draws on the deep Mexican tradition of combining chilli peppers with agave spirits and lime. Its modern form was popularized by Chris Ojeda's Picante de la Casa at Soho House West Hollywood in 2012 — a simplified take on his Margarita Picante from Soho Beach House Miami. By the early 2020s, the Spicy Margarita had become one of the most ordered cocktail variations globally, driving a wider trend for chilli-forward bartending."
The Method

Step by Step
Muddle 2–3 fresh jalapeño slices (seeds removed for medium heat, seeds left in for extra heat) in the base of a cocktail shaker. Add tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice and agave syrup. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 12 seconds. Prepare a rocks glass with a chilli-salt rim by moistening the rim with a lime wedge and pressing into a mixture of sea salt and chilli flakes. Fill the glass with ice. Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and a thin fresh jalapeño slice.
