Step by Step

Sugar the rim of a coupe glass by moistening the edge with lemon and dipping in fine sugar. Combine cognac, triple sec and fresh lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake for 10–12 seconds. Strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
